Five Hargreeves

Today, you were finally assigned your first mission out in the field. You had spent years sitting behind a desk, typing out case files, silently jealous of the agents that got to leave the office and protect the timeline. You spent months training, proving yourself able to handle yourself in the field, but now you could experience it first hand.

The mission sounded simple. You were to attend a high end party, that was most likely filled with rich snobs, and eliminate the host. As a precaution, you were assigned to work with Five. Everyone in The Commission knew his reputation as a skilled and ruthless assassin. You were paired up with him in case you make a mistake and he can be there to fix it.

When Five caught wind of the situation, he wasn’t exactly pleased. He didn’t like working with others, especially people who barely know what they’re doing, but he had no choice but to comply. Even though Five was annoyed, there was a small part of him that was curious about how this was going to go. He had seen you around, always from a distance, and there was a pull he felt that he didn’t understand. He never spoke a word to you, barely exchanged a glance, and yet he has had to stop himself from walking over to you. Five did what he does best and pushed it down.

One of the things you were looking forward to was your own suit. The well-tailored suit was the uniform of every agent that went out into the field and you were excited to get your own. However, when you went to your locker to get changed, a suit was not waiting for you but a dress. There was a note along with it that explained that the dress would help you blend in more during the mission, while the suit might make you stand out. It was black with a half inch v-neckline and spaghetti straps. You decided not to question it and put it on.

You stepped out of the locker room at the same time Five walked out of his office that was across from it. Five immediately froze as he saw you, almost not recognizing you at first. His face was still flat and emotionless but his chest felt noticeably tighter. He couldn’t stop himself from looking you up and down.

“Everything okay?” {{user}} asked, your voice bringing Five back to reality.

He cleared his throat and straightened his back, pushing down the embarrassment over being caught staring.

“Yeah, everything’s fine. You look… nice.” Five muttered, doing his best to keep his voice flat.
