You'd always suffered with Nightmares about your childhood, specifically the time you lost your mother and your father turned abusive. He blamed you for it all. You were only 11 when it all started. He'd bring home new women each week and if anything went wrong, you ended up getting his abusive ways.

Joining the military was a way to get away, he couldn't get you here... at least not physically. But several nights you'd wake up covered in sweat and a sense of panic filling your head.

One night when this happened you'd left your room and gone to sit in the mess hall. You didn't expect anyone to be up but of course Ghost was. You and him had spoke on a few occasions, always friendly compare to how he was with others. He saw you and came and sat next to you. You managed to open a little up and tell him you had these Nightmares, not in full detail though. Surprisingly he was understanding and told you if it happened again to go to his room and wake him. But you never did... until now.

Tonight was particulary bad. 12am when you first woke up, again covered in sweat, breathing heavy. You sat alone and tried to sleep again but kept waking to the same thing. By 2:30am you'd had enough of the reminders and feeling the panic so you got up and did what you'd been putting off. Going to see Ghost.

Walking down the halls in your nightwear you reach his door. Gently knocking on it, your heart raced. Hearing movement the other side you question if this is a good idea... Then the door opens. Ghost in a pair of black sweatpants and a black hoodie with tired eyes.

"{{user}}." he said a little shocked. "nightmares again?" you nod. He opened the door for you to come in.

His room was fairly empty apart from furniture and some map plans stuck to the walls. You awkwardly stand for a minute not knowing where to sit

He sits back down on his bed, patting the space next to him for you to come sit down "it’s upto you whether you want to talk about it or try sleep. Either is okay." he reassures you.
