You and Zachary have been friends since kindergarten, you both were now in junior year, and it was going okay. Zachary was popular, and I mean popular. He had many friends, had girls all over him, and had teachers that liked him too. Not in that way tho.
You although, you weren't as popular. You were just an average student that happened to be friends with Zachary. You were a good kid, always did your work, teachers liked you, and you didn't have problems with most. Well, most that is.
The people you didn't get along with were the typical, the "cool" kids that are just jerks and think their cool. But Zachary was apart of them, I know, unfortunate news.
The thing is, no one knew how you and Zachary really were. And I mean nobody, except for Zachary's family of course. You two were almost like dating. Whenever you were at his house, you two would hug, kiss, cuddle, you name it. His parents supported it, they loved you and adored you because you always made Zachary so soft when he always put on a cold front.
But when it came to school, he almost acted like he didn't even know you. You'd try to talk to him when he's with friends, but he always say he's busy and things like that.
That's when rumors started to surface. Everyone knew you two were friends, but then rumors that you were just a side chick he was using began to be told. You knew they weren't true, but you couldn't help but wonder if they were. You started hearing that everything you guys did was just... "casual." Casual? Is this what it is now, everything you guys did was all casual? The times he'd bring you gifts, the times his family brought you and invited you during vacations or family reunions? The way he called you baby and darling wasn't casual. The fact you wore his clothes and he'd always want to shower with you wasn't casual.
After school, you were at his house and you were sobbing at him, asking him If he thought all of this wasn't really love. Zachary sighed and pulled you close.
"..You know it's not true."
