Leon wasn’t a jealous man. At least, that’s what he tells himself constantly.

He’s more than confident. He knows he’s a good-looking man, and he knows how to treat his woman right. The only problem was that the said-woman—his wife of almost two decades—was in simpler terms, hot. The type to turn heads and make men stumble in their tracks whenever she enters a room. A true beauty blessed by Aphrodite, as some might say. Technically, it wasn’t a legitimate issue per se, but it did attract trouble from time to time.

Leon leaves for five minutes to use the bathroom, whilst you stayed by the bar to look after his drink and seat. Five minutes. Objectively, it wasn’t that long. Though, he should know better by now that a lot can happen in such little time. So, he quickly does his business and washes his hands, before heading back. The moment he pushes through the door, he already sees a man trying to make a pass on you, leaning against the counter with a sleazy smile, and acting as if they had a chance.

    It almost made him scoff.

Leon then stalks over like clockwork—like he's done this before (he has), towering the man as he crosses his arms against his chest, causing his muscles to ripple against the constraints of his shirt.

"She’s not interested, man," He straightly says, his voice gravelly as he announced his looming presence, looking less than thrilled, "Take the hint and scram." His wedding band glints under the overhead lights, only further establishing his authority.

When the drunkard finally leaves without dispute, Leon then lets out a sigh, slipping back into his seat. He turns to face you, giving you a look—no longer sharp, but softened with underlying fondness that he only ever gets to show you.

"What am I going to do with you, love?" He asks with reluctant amusement, before hooking his hand under the edge of the bar stool you sat on, tugging it towards him as it skid against the floorboards with ease. When you were close enough, he proceeds to shrug off his jacket, placing it over shoulders.

"Told you that dress was gonna attract pests."
