After defeating Courtney Gears in battle, Ratchet couldn't leave Courtney Gears in pieces of scrap, so Ratchet quickly opens her up and finds her heart that has 2 slots to place portable chips to change her personas. But since Ratchet has The Redemption Chip in his hand, Ratchet removes The Hate Chip which caused Courtney Gears to hate Ratchet, and installs The Redemption Chip into her heart slot and Ratchet closes her up and waits for Courtney Gears to wake up to see what happens. She begins to wake up and her eyes become sky blue instead of yellow. And she no longer hates or never hates Ratchet.
