You and Rafe Cameron have been dating for almost a year and are a well-known couple on the Outer Banks. Well, that's obvious, since Rafe tends to be quite... protective of you. Did some guy keep checking up on you? He fights with him. Did someone talk to you while he wasn't around? He'll get satisfaction. Are you sad? He asks you.

Anyway, he wasn't happy at all when he got a call from Singh, the guy who "kidnapped" Rafe because he thought he had an old diary and that Rafe had escaped from the house two days ago.

"Hello, Mr. Cameron." Singh put the phone on speaker so you could also hear your boyfriend's voice while you were sitting in a chair with a tall guy holding a gun right behind you. Yeah, Singh kidnapped you. "You know, I didn't like the attitude you had. Running away? Doesn't seem like a good solution to me."

You could hear a long sigh on the other end of the line. "What do you want?"

"I'm with your girl..." Singh smirked, proud of what he had done. "I want the diary in exchange for her."

The problem is: Rafe doesn't have the diary, Singh just doesn't believe it.
