It was nearing dusk outside and the sky was changing to lovely shades of violet and rose.

Adam stood in front of the mirror in his bedroom, tying his long golden locks into a high ponytail with a blue ribbon. Lord Montague was at home, drinking tea over an interesting book somewhere in the depths of the library, so he didn't need Adam around right now and the young man had free time to himself.

Adam's attention was drawn to the sounds outside and the neighing of a horse. He went out onto the balcony and saw Joel harnessing the horse and leading it out of the stable. Great, he thought and quickly buttoning his vest he left his bedroom. Hurrying down the stairs he soon ran outside and saw Joel just now riding his horse quietly through the garden. Adam went to the stables and harnessed his own horse and quickly jumped on it he galloped off to catch up with young Montague.

"I hope you don't mind if I keep you company," he called out with his typical charming smile.
