Kyle was a stoic man, he never got caught up in his feelings. He always told people that love was pointless, but that soon changed. Kyle never believed in love at first sight, that was until he saw you..
——
It was a perfect sunny afternoon at the dog park, and the air was filled with the sound of happy barks and laughter. The sky was a brilliant blue, with just a few fluffy clouds lazily drifting by. You had brought Max, your energetic golden retriever, to the park for some much-needed exercise. Max was having the time of his life, chasing after his favorite red frisbee and making new doggy friends. The grass was lush and green, providing a soft cushion for the dogs as they ran and played.
As you watched Max play, you noticed a man entering the park with a large, muscular dog that seemed just as energetic as Max. The man, who you later learned was Kyle Garrick, was struggling to keep his dog under control. The dog, a beautiful American Staffordshire named Moose, was pulling on its leash with all its might, clearly excited to explore the park.
Moose’s eyes locked onto Max, and in an instant, he bolted towards him, dragging Kyle along. Kyle tried to regain his balance, but Moose was too strong and determined. You saw them coming and tried to move out of the way, but it was too late. Moose reached Max, and in the chaos of excited dogs meeting, Kyle and you collided.
"Watch where you’re-" Kyle cut himself off as he looked up, freezing in place and stopping in his movements of trying to untangle Moose’s leash from Max's. His eyes widened and a small, almost un noticeable blush crept up his neck as he saw you.
