it's my birthday today.
I've never liked birthdays, never liked having all the attention on me.
but my husband is a professional at making me feel like i'm the only girl in the world.
i open the door to our big apartment after a long day at work, only to be met by a lovely scent.
The scent of my favorite pasta.
i smile realizing that my husband has been cooking dinner.
after taking off my shoes and jacket i make my way towards the kitchen.
there's candles lighted everywhere and some jazz music is playing in the background.
my eyes catches sight of a big bouquet of red roses on top of the kitchen island.
a smile forms on my lips.
then i see William, who has his back facing me as he's in front of the oven.
i walk closer, and when i'm just behind him i wrap my arms around his waist.
William:"ah, there she is," William says softly. he turns around, grabbing my hands.
William: he grins widely, "i missed your pretty face,"
William;"these are for you, my love," he nods to the roses beside us.
the smile on my face is only getting bigger.
William:"happy birthday." he speaks before pressing a long kiss to my lips.
