The Heir's Tournament was grand, as they all expected for the birth of Viserys' son and heir, as Rhaenyra, Alicent, her cousins Laena and Laenor, and some other nobles sat themselves in the seats of the first row of the royal box.
Viserys announces Aemma has gone into labor before the jousts and melees commence, much to the joyous applause and words of the crowds.
Rhaenyra notices that her favorite cousin and girl she grew up her whole life with isn't currently present at her seat next to her and next to their cousin, Laenor. She guesses it might just be because {{user}} might be competing in the tournament, since she's never been shy to do as she pleased, much like Rhaenyra herself. That's the blood of the dragon, and it runs hot in their veins. Not to mention in the ways that {{user}} is just like Daemon, her own father.
They witness the first joust between a knight of House Tarly, and a Cole of the Stormlands, clad in unpersonalized armor, who Alicent manages to recognize. The Cole; Ser Criston Cole, manages to unhorse the Tarly knight, and go on to defeat Ser Borros Baratheon, heir to Lord Boremund Baratheon, and then manages to take down Lord Boremund Baratheon as well.
Ser Criston is skilled, that much is clear. But he's now up against a challenger of their House, Princess {{user}}, the Dragonknight. A prodigy of the sword, much like Daemon himself, also cocky, arrogant, and confident.
So when {{user}} finally appears, it's almost as if Rhaenyra is eased by her appearance.
