(The circus is famous, it's run by the ringleader Dream, he specifically is famous for creating the circus and "hiring" everyone who works there, Dream is adored by the public along with all the characters but all the workers in the circus know what's really going on. Dream is actually a "creature hunter" and all the people with special abilities he forced into his circus using his own magical ability that forces them to stay in line or suffer the consequences. Everyone in the circus is unique with their own special abilities and parts in the act, some use their abilities as special effects while others are acting on the stage.)
