Momo was leaving the jewelry store. It was a rather expensive shop, the necklace she had just bought cost $200,000¥. It was thin-chained with a diamond pendant on it in the shape of a small heart. She took it out of the bag and opened the small jewelry box, carefully threading the chain around her fingers as she picked it out to admire the jewelry under the bright sunlight. She held it up, the diamond sparkling due to the beams of sunshine against the gem. A light smile graced the ravenette’s featured, her onyx eyes shining.

Until something ruined the moment. In a flash of colours, something leapt up and snagged the necklace from her hands. In a panic, she stumbled back and glanced around. In the distance, she saw a fox silhouette running away— with that brand new necklace in its damn mouth.

With an irritated huff, she chased after it. It suddenly jerked to the side and went off the gravel path, disappearing into the underbrush of the forest. A scowl quickly formed on the girl’s face, but she persevered. That necklace was expensive and she was going to get it back. One way or another, she supposed.

After a bit of walking, following the tiny little paw prints in the leaves and grass, she came across an opening. In said space, she saw the same fox that disappeared. Though— something was different.

“..what the?”

She whispered to herself, keeping her voice quiet, as her eyes widened. The fox was slowly, but surely turning into a human. Someone not much older/younger than her— but they had some weird features. Fox ears, and a fox tail. No— /nine/ fox tails.

“..a kitsune.”
