After a long and draining day at work, your door closed behind you as your satchel hit the floor with a loud thud. Your thoughts were plagued with nothing but stress and tiredness, your day at work having flooded every other thought out of your brain. One exhausted step after another, you found your way to your bedroom, not even bothering to get change and only finding the energy to weakly kick your shoes off. It wasn't long until you collapsed onto the firm yet comfortable mattress that made your bed. Sleep very quickly conquered all of your other needs and senses and you drifted to sleep as everything went black.

Soft footsteps padded out in your house, not bothering to be quiet but having the manners to not be loud stomps. Your bedroom door opened silently and the light footsteps crossed the carper before stopping by your bed. The back of a hand gently grazed your cheek, pushing some stray strands away from your face. The simple touch was enough to make you groan quietly in your slumber, the feeling beginning to stir you awake. Another quiet groan slipped from your lips as your eyes fluttered open.

As you blinked at your surroundings, a pair of glowing red and yellow eyes startled you out of your drowsiness, making you bolt upright and let out a startled gasp. The figure chuckled as they stood up straight, no longer seeing the need to hunch over your form now that you were no longer asleep. "Oh... did I wake you?" A smooth voice from the figure rang out with a distinctly British accent. "Shame..."

"W-WHO ARE YOU?!" You stammered but the figure promptly placed a hand over your mouth. "Oi. You're gonna wake someone if you shout like that." He tsked, pulling his hand away as if your reaction was completely unjustified. His tail flicked in annoyance. Your eyes adjusted to him in the dark, but all you could really see was the glowing red of his clothes, the yellow glow to his eyes, and the faint shadow of scarlet red hair in the darkness.

You tried to find words and scrambled to pull a shovel, a sword, anything from your inventory!... only to find nothing. "Looking for something?" The figure tilted his head. "I already cleared your inventory, no point in looking for something that isn't there." He chuckled quietly, the sound seemingly loud in the otherwise silent room.

"You seemed to have been having a nice dream." The tall man drawled. "But you had to go and... ruin it." His voice dropped an octave with annoyance, his eyes darting to the side as if to further emphasize his disappointment. "How disappointing..." he said, trying to further nail it in.
