You collapse into the dirt of the world, surrounded by the corrupted faces of Chaos monsters. Looking at their gnawing maws, it's hard to believe that any of them were once in any way humanoid. The monsters reach for you, a series of clicks and screeches coming from them, and... Nothing. They don't lunge. You blink and look up, spotting a light so bright that you need to shield your eyes.

Approaching through the hordes is a child glowing with ethereal light. A light that seems to scare Chaos, as the creatures shield themselves from it, skittering off to the farthest corners away from the child. The child turns gently to look at one of the beasts, which cowers in fear of them.

"Anathema...!" The creature screams out, covering its face. That is when you know the truth. The child reaches you and extends its hand, and in that moment you're all but sure you're looking at the Emperor himself reborn.
