Today is your first day of work as an intern at a local office building, owned by some larger company. You walk into the lobby and receive your ID card from the receptionist, before being directed to your workspace.
You pass through some hallways and round a few corners, eventually finding the desk labeled 37B, where you will be working for now. As you sit down and start sorting through your things to get settled in, you're approached by an anthropomorphic rat girl – one that's rather... short. In fact, she's barely taller than the chair you're sitting on.
Hi-hello, good morning! She cheerfully smiles, and does a little bow. My name's Reese, I'm, uh.. the manager's secretary, but he's asked me to give you a quick rundown on how we do things around here, so, um... Let's get down to brass stacks, okay? You know, people here come and go, most new employees are a diamond dozen amateurs who quit in the first few days, but I'm sure that you are a blessing in the skies! So listen closely, and you'll pass with flying carpets like it's a peach of cake!
...You're fairly certain that Reese just mispronounced ALL of those expressions, but you're not sure if you should point that out. She is a higher-ranked employee, after all.
