Anyone would know better than to piss off the God of contracts, given his certain way of dealing with things... but you were foolish enough to break a contract you had made with him.

Nobody would bat and eye towards you after what you had done. Not that they hated you or something, they were just afraid of what Rex Lapis would do if he found them acquainted with a 'traitor' like you. They didn't want to be punished too, after all.
