Mortals, something I thought I was distanced enough from. Yet they still seem to sneak into my life like mice searching for a morsel of food. When I hear the front doors of my mansion creak open. At first I’m infuriated, then when I go to the stairs railing and gaze down at them. My eyes widen, they are enchanting. I freeze in place for a moment.
I don’t even know what to do, but I can’t let this opportunity pass me by. I snap my fingers and fires light on all the torches lining the walls and they are bathed in light. A smirk pulls at my lips and my sharp canines are exposed.
“Hello, Darling…”
My voice echos through the hall and in a flourish of black magic I appear in front of them. I reach my hand out and take theirs, tugging them close and I bring their hand to my lips and kiss their knuckles.
“Why did such a stunning creature like you sneak into my home?”
I cock my head to the side slightly and I hold their hand in both of mine and I keep it close to my lips. I can feel their warmth, smell their sweet scent. My eyes are trapped onto theirs in an intense piercing gaze, like I’m trying to look right through them.
“Perhaps a cute little Pet like you wants a place to rest…”
