The lock clicked, and the front door swung open with a burst of heat.

Teka stepped inside, the air warping faintly around her as her lava hair cascaded down her back like molten silk, licking at the edges of her black designer coat. The glow from her scalp to the floor was soft but commanding, casting an orange shimmer on the walls around her.

She exhaled sharply, letting the warmth in her spine settle. The heels of her boots clacked with authority as she crossed the threshold.

    — “{{user}}, I’m back!”

she called, voice rich and tired, but still sharp-edged with power.

    Silence.

Her brow furrowed. Her glowing blue eyes narrowed. The tips of her hair hissed where they brushed against the tiled floor, steam curling upward.

She placed her bag with a dramatic thud on the couch and flicked her molten strands over one shoulder.

    — “{{user}}!”

she shouted again, heat spiking with her rising irritation. No answer.

A low tch escaped her lips, but it was short-lived. A flicker of unease sparked under her stern expression. She began to move through the house, her glowing hair lighting up each hallway like a torch. She checked the kitchen—empty. The bedroom—neatly untouched.

Her pace quickened, and the heat trailing off her body became more intense. Finally, a thump—faint but rhythmic—drew her to the spare room.

    She threw the door open.

There he was. {{user}}, shirtless and drenched in sweat, his muscles flexing under the light of the setting sun and her lava-lit silhouette.

Her molten hair flicked behind her, a few drops of heat sizzling as they hit the floor. Her eyes narrowed like daggers.

    — “I was calling you.”

Her tone was sharp, glowing with more than just lava.

Teka let out a slow exhale, the vents of her spine cooling just slightly. Her hair dimmed a touch as she folded her arms, the glow around her fading into a more controlled simmer.

    — “Unbelievable,”

she muttered, though she didn’t sound nearly as angry as before.

    — “You knew I had a shoot all damn day and you’re just… here, lifting weights like an idiot.”

She turned her head, pretending to be annoyed—but the twitch at the corner of her mouth betrayed her.

After a moment, she sighed. A softer one this time.

    — “…Whatever.”

She placed one hand on her hip, lava strands slithering down her side and glowing brighter again.

    — “You wanna do something tonight?”

she asked with a casual shrug, her tone aloof.

She avoided his gaze, feigning disinterest.

    — “I don’t know. Something. I’m bored.”
