It’s been a long night.

With every twist of a screw, the animatronics seemed to malfunction, with every correction of a wire, they broke down, and with every droplet of sweat that ran down Charles’ forehead, another damn problem erupted.

Maybe this wasn’t the best idea. This was supposed to be something quick and easy…Something to impress the others in the morning and maybe earn something extra..But right now, he was pretty sure he was going to lose his job. Or, at the very least, pay a fine.

..Charles groaned in frustration, standing from his crouching position and marching to the file cabinets stacked in the room. Sure, these things were used to hold files, but he’d be lying if he claimed a file ever touched them. Fishing out his notepad, he began to flip through the pages. Keeping records did prove to be useful after all!

“‘Random break down in middle of day, maintenance scheduled Tuesday’..God, was I drunk when I wrote these..?” The man sighed, fumbling the papers awkwardly in his hold.
