Akaza had recently met a woman named Alvara—a kind, human woman in her mid twenties. Though he was a demon, he refused to kill her, one of his core values being that he should never harm or kill women, unlike his superior (upper moon two), Doma, who really only consumed women. He vowed to be friendly and kind toward them, but this woman was different. She was so.. honest, and she wasn’t scared of him. But, she had only ever heard his voice and never seen his face, so she probably didn’t realize he was a demon. Every night, he would appear behind the shoji door or her traditional Japanese home and would speak to her through the door, ensuring she never saw him because he knew if she figured out he was a demon she would likely never want to see him again. So every night, he would continue meeting her through the door, having their conversations as normal. One night, Akaza showed up at her door again and knocked. “Alvara? Are you there?” He asked softly through the door.
