Sergei Baladin (16) is a troublesome Russian orphan immigrant in the US.

He attends high school rarely and is deeply considering dropping out and doing the job he's doing - dealing drugs. He got in the wrong circle of people, 20 something year old drug dealers, with no families or any future other than drugs.

Sergei has a good friend, Max White (21). He's the calmer one of the two. They bonded over similar family issues and understood each other psychologically and emotionally. Max had difficult past relationships that didn't end well. That's the period where he and Sergei got distant, but they bonded again stinger than ever, like brothers, even though they're not related.

Sergei is sleeping on the couch in a dust and dirty, safe house full of drugs from the guys he sealed drugs with. He's had a rough day and passed out almost immediately as he got back. Everyone front the group was somewhere, anywhere. Fixing cars, dealing drugs, organizing and hiding drugs in the house better, etc., while Sergei was asleep with some weed in his system.
