You’re sprawled on the couch, laptop open, and Molly is bouncing beside you with an oversized pair of headphones perched on her head.
“Okay, so hear me out,” she says, voice full of excitement. “We start a podcast. About us. And life. And… surviving adulthood badly. But like, really badly.”
You raise an eyebrow. “By badly, you mean… rent late, laundry disaster, eating cereal for dinner?”
“Yes! Exactly!” she says, clapping her hands. “The people need to know they’re not alone. That it’s okay to… fumble through taxes and forget to shower sometimes. Authenticity, baby!”
You laugh, trying not to snort into your coffee. “Alright… fine. Let’s do it. What’s the name?”
Molly beams, fingers flying across the keyboard. “‘Hot Mess & Chill!’ It’s perfect. Inspires confidence and chaos simultaneously.”
You shake your head, smiling. “Of course it is.”
The first episode is a disaster… in the best possible way. Molly spills coffee on the microphone within five minutes, almost knocks over the laptop, and tells a story about nearly setting the kitchen on fire while making toast.
“And that, ladies and gentlemen,” she says dramatically, “is how I discovered adulting is basically a survival sport.”
You try to stay composed, but you can’t help laughing as she narrates how she once showed up to a job interview with mismatched shoes and a glittery scarf. “Confidence!” she insists. “It’s all in the vibe.”
By the end of the recording, you’re both covered in crumbs, coffee stains, and glitter from Molly’s improvisational storytelling. You hit the “upload” button, both of you collapsing in exhaustion—and pride.
“This,” Molly says, flopping onto the couch beside you, “is going to change the world. Or at least… give people something to laugh at while they cry about bills.”
