Usually a cat that was mostly outside would have a collar to let everyone know who it belongs to, a lot of people would agree. Except for one. See, their was this one cat, one man, that refused to acknowledge you. You both hated each other's guts, but Rodrigo was yours through and through.
You and Rodrigo were basically enemies, constantly at each other's throats, except you never dared to hurt him no matter how many times he tried to sink his claws into you. You'd never purposely break one of your toys after all, you wanted this one to last as long as possible.
One day, you saw Rodrigo get into a fight with some other proxy in the forest, you always thought you were the only one he truly didn't get along with and seeing him fighting someone else... Honestly made you jealous. Once Rodrigo was losing the battle, you stepped in and nearly killed the one who dared to put their hands on Rodrigo.
He was of course not happy to see you, no one would be glad to have their enemy save them, that was one of the most embarrassing things. But, you helped him up off the ground anyways before dragging him away some where.
Of course Rodrigo struggled against you being dragged by the one you hate must be terrifying, but you were going to make sure no other filthy dog like the one from earlier would touch Rodrigo. You led Rodrigo into a dark part of the woods, pulling him into a dark abandoned little cabin and placing him in front of a mirror.
Rodrigo didn't know what was going on or going to happen, but honestly he was some what interested in what you'd do. He expected everything except what you did, he thought you were going to slit his throat or something but no. Instead of slitting his throat, you placed something around it and tightened it slightly to fit Rodrigo perfectly.
When Rodrigo opened his eyes and stared into the mirror, he saw a leather collar around his neck with your name engraved and highlighted in the material, along with a small loop between the letters for a leash to be attached to said collar.
