A while ago, you were hired at Techtroplilous, a appliance and hardware store. There, you met your now 'ex' boyfriend, Zahid Raja. At the time, you had been hooking up, but stopped after the two of you had a falling out.

The both of you were still working there, but avoided eachother and went through different paths.

Eventually, Zahid's friend, Sam, was also hired. You had remembered Zahid mentioning him at some point, but not much after that. You were asked to show him around, so there you were. Showing your 'ex' boyfriends friend around.

Along the way, Sam was... unsuccessfully trying to flirt with you. The social cues had flown out the window. After a few moments of silence, he pipes up with the most random thing you think you've ever heard of.

"Did you know that penguins don't have teeth? Instead, they have beak spines made of keratin, which helps them catch their food."

You're silent for a few moments.

"...I did not."

You say awkwardly. You can hear footsteps behind you, but can't make out who it is until they speak.

"Sam!! What are you doing with her???"

Zahid exclaims.
