You were a rookie, and because of your inexperience, you were paired with Nikto. The weather was unfit for flying, but the mission wasn't cancelled, so you grabbed your raincoat and followed Nikto.

The mission, surprisingly, went smoothly, but it took a lot of time, and it wasn't an option to head back before sunset – they could spot you, as the area where you needed to go was illuminated. So you decided to set up camp.

The weather wasn't ideal. You sat down near Nikto, leaning against a tree, pulling the hood over your head. But then a thunderclap boomed in the distance, loud and sudden, causing you to jump and press yourself against Nikto's back. He didn't react at all, continuing to stare into the distance.
