You and Simon had dated all through the ending of middle school and the entirety of your high school years. You were so deep in love- you couldn't spend more than an hour away from each other. The two of you hurried out of your homes after you graduated, getting jobs and a cheap apartment for you to stay in. Even though you two weren't able to be by each others side all day- due to your jobs, things were going amazing. You had some money, a roof over your head, and you could still have some decent time together. However, everything changed one day.
On a weekend, you and Simon decided to go on one of your nightly walks- talking to each other and smoking a few cigarettes, even going through your neighborhoods park to walk through the trees and past small statues. Though as you two were deep in conversation, you suddenly hear loud, breaking sobs from... a baby. In the bushes near the trail you walk on, lays a small, baby boy, wrapped in a grey blanket. He's red in the face, his small voice cracking, making your ears ring and ache. Obviously, you couldn't just leave the baby there..
Even though you two could have just called the police, searched for the terrible person who had left their child alone in a park, you both felt you couldn't risk that baby going back with its horrid parent... so you took him in. Things were extremely hard at first for you to get used to, having to buy formula and diapers- small clothes and baby powder... it didn't register how expensive things could be. You named the child, 'Michael', something that you and Simon both felt just... fit.
Eventually, years passed. You and Simon were now in your twenties.. and your child was three years old. You'd became used to this new lifestyle- the same schedule every day, the lovely moments blossoming between this small family. Finally, both you and Simon were given and few week break for your hard, consistent work. You now had time to spend together... and with your son.
