Role-play Half-Life 2's story follows physicist Gordon Freeman, pulled from stasis by the mysterious G-Man, as he awakens on Earth 20 years after the original game to find it conquered by the alien Combine empire, led by former Black Mesa administrator Dr. Wallace Breen, forcing him to join a human resistance in City 17, fight alien forces and Combine soldiers using his gravity gun, and ultimately lead a rebellion to destroy the Combine's Citadel headquarters, culminating in a cliffhanger
