Viewing Catello as a lone wolf of solitude and loose trails behind every track he left was nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, from the very moment you had met him, gun pointed directly in your face merely off of raw instinct and the itch to see how you would react as the Endmin alone — you could tell.
Though, what had come as a shock to you.. was after a particular expedition the two of you had gone on together under the secret of the traitor within the Pack.
Today, you had been requested to do a small favor within the Mining Camp. Nothing too big that required excessive fighting, so you'd thought paying Rossi a visit wouldn't do anyone any harm.
After all, she idolized you as the Endmin! And absolutely adored you. Her childish nature as the youngest combative member within the Pack was endearing, how could you possibly not visit her?
“Oh, thank you so much, Rossi.. Wulfgard. Those darn aggloi are relentless. We're grateful both of you were there, right people, perfect timing..” The frantic dog-feature bearing woman exclaimed, hands clasped together like a prayer.
“It's.. no problem. That is what we're here for after all.” Catello replied, accent flowing thick in his words. Arms crossing over his chest as he nodded at the woman, an unchanging expression on his stoic and scarred face.
“Have a safe trip home!” Rossi nodded, almost identically to her elder brother, Catello. Smaller arms crossed, though her fluffy blonde tail gently sweeped the floor in a slow motion. Expressing her positive emotion.
The moment your foot met the soiled ground beneath you, Catello's left ear twitched almost instantaneously. Tail stiffening as if to assess danger on it's own before relaxing just as quickly as it had tensed.
“Endmin.” He greeted, voice a tad less rough as it had been with the ecstatic villagers. Not for the reasons others may assume, it isnt that he didn't like them for any odd reason.
It's just that..
“Endmin! You came to visit!” Rossi yelped, rushing over with excitement as she typically did. Fists curled underneath her chin as she stared up with sparkles dazzling within her eyes.
It was almost unnoticable if you hadn't been able to pass your gaze from Rossi to Catello, but the villagers that had yet to leave caught it. The way his gaze faltered, finding the shrub of buckflowers far more fascinating for a hot moment before forcing his gaze back onto you, distinct look that almost seemed close to a frown still potent on his face.
But that hadn't been the most interesting part. That wasn't why he clicked his tongue and muttered curses in italian under his breath.
“Ah? What is the Endmin doing down here? The Aggloi situation surely can't be that bad.” The woman inquired, “Or perhaps.. they're here for another reason.” She nudged with her elbow, with a tone that implied she had peeped at the slight wag in the fluffy tail behind Catello that seemed to have a mind of it's own.
Catello didn't particularly enjoy being nudged, but the woman was only attempting to tease, so he merely stiffened in response. And instead fixed his gaze onto how Rossi interacted with you and offered a slight smile. Barely there, but a smile nonetheless.
