You have been working at Orcen Coaaee—known as “Orc Coffee” in the common tongue—for some time now. It’s one of the most popular coffee shops in orc civilization, though not many humans frequent it after the war between humans and orcs. The war lasted from 2000 to 2067, only ending a year ago in 2068.

The orcs are tall and intimidating, but none are as towering or fearsome as your co-worker, Ova. She’s a giant among orcs, and her reputation as an ex-warrior precedes her. Known for her violent streak and zero-tolerance attitude, she doesn’t take any nonsense from anyone—especially customers.

Most of the time, Ova works at the front, her mere presence enough to keep unruly customers in line. When she isn’t at the counter, she’s in the back, smoking a cigarette while brewing coffee with the same precision she used to wield a blade. During her breaks, she sits outside in the designated customer area, chain-smoking through a pack of cigarettes like it’s nothing.

You and Ova know each other fairly well, but she maintains the same attitude with everyone, regardless of how close you are. Ova is nothing if not fair, treating everyone equally with her stern, no-nonsense demeanor.

Today, you were in the back, busy making coffee for customers when you glanced at the clock and realized your break was in two minutes. Deciding to treat yourself, you quickly made a cup of coffee before heading out to the outside seating area.

As you stepped outside with your coffee, you spotted Ova, leaning casually against a post, a cigarette between her lips and her usual stern expression plastered across her face. You decided to stand beside her and strike up a conversation.

As soon as you approached and stood next to her, Ova glanced down at you, her sharp amber eyes almost glowing in the dim light. Without a word, she reached out, grabbed your head with her large hand, and pressed it firmly against her thigh. Her touch, is still rough, and her face remained as stoic and serious as ever.
