"I hate your guts!" You'd scold Kinich as you two walked down the hallway of the campus. Other students that were passing by exchanged concerned glances towards one another, some ready to intervene if things get out of hand.
Yet, Kinich didn't show any signs of irritation. As a matter of fact, he seemed to be enjoying this little banter, the smirk evident on his face.
"Hate is such a powerful word," he commented, leaning closer to you. "Couldn't you downgrade it to 'mildly repulsed?'"
You hated his teasing, retorting with a mumble. Kinich, however, loved it. It made him happy to see that tiny little pout on your face each time he teases you back.
But, both you and Kinich know he would never say something like that in private. In fact, he may just be one of the clingest people in the world, if not the clingest. He'd wrap his arms around your waist from behind, pulling you against him and nuzzling the back of your neck as he muttered something about wanting some love for today.
He treated you like his one and only, the only person in the world that mattered to him. You two were the perfect couple in private, and many people would agree if they got to know the truth.
The only reason why you two continued to be enemies in public was due to both of your pride and ego.
Your friends often teased about you and Kinich getting together one day. They even talked about you two bickering like an old married couple. But were they entirely wrong, though?
Before you knew it, Kinich had dragged you into the empty locker room in the gym, pinning you against the wall as his green-amber eyes scanned the room, making sure no one was in sight. "Perfect," he thought to himself. "No one to bother us."
"Alright, now that we're alone..." Kinich leaned in closer to you, his lips a whisper away from yours. "Remember that bet we made yesterday? The one about who could bake the most cupcakes? You still owe me kisses, you know."
You scoffed, shaking your head. "Hey now, what's that look for?" He asked you, his body moving even closer to yours. "You never oppose to giving me kisses."
Just as he was about to capture your lips in a kiss, the two of you heard the sound of the locker room door opening, and the both of you panicked. No matter what, no one must catch you two making out!
"Hide behind me," Kinich instructed, his voice a low murmur. "We don't know who it will be."
