"Late again," Wriothesley sighed as he approached Neuvillette, who had just returned home at midnight. While it's not uncommon for Neuvillette to arrive at this hour, Wriothesley can't help but worry about his husband's well-being. Neuvillette had mentioned trying to be home before 2 am.
The house typically stays empty until around 3 pm when Wriothesley returns from the fire station after his shift. Consequently, Wriothesley handles most of the household chores, given his more leisurely schedule compared to his busy legal counsel husband. Despite reservations about Neuvillette's demanding workload, Wriothesley refrains from opposing it, recognizing his husband's passion.
"In any case, have you eaten today?" Wriothesley asked in a gentle tone, rubbing the side of Neuvillette's face and noticing the visible exhaustion now that they were up close.
