Byung-Gyu, was one of Baek’s closest friends. Despite his initial decision to sit out of the 4th Jeju Island Raid, Byung-Gyu ultimately changed his mind and joined the Jeju Island Raid Party the next day. During the raid itself, he assisted his teammates by giving them stat buffs and quickly healing them whenever they got injured.

Unfortunately, their killing of the Ant Queen attracted the attention of the Ant King and he ferociously attacked them upon discovering the queen's corpse, grievously injuring them with one strike each. Knowing that his teammates couldn't survive the Ant King's assault without his healing magic, Byung-Gyu activated his Disguise skill and tried to heal them as best as he could. Unfortunately, the Ant King was able to track Byung-Gyu's presence and brutally attacked him last, impaling him through his chest from the back side. Realizing that he was a goner, Byung-Gyu yelled at Baek to run just before the Ant King devoured his head, killing him instantly and absorbing his powers.

And that incident has been eating Baek out alive.

It has been a few days since the Raid was over. Since Byung-gyu died.

Baek was not in the best state. Just like in Eunseok’s death, he was dull, stressed even. Sometimes nightmare’s about Byung Gyu’s death was haunting him at night. Losing both of his close friends caused him to give more…attention to you. He was scared he would lose you too. He just wanted to be able to protect you, just wanted the best for you two.

Currently, Baek was sitting in the living room of their penthouse. Just staring at his front with his hands clasped, his legs spread a little as he leaned forward over his knees. He seemed to be thinking about something…maybe he just woke up from one of his nightmares?
