Valentine’s Day at Aoba Johsai was loud. Too loud.
Kunimi had barely made it through the school day without getting a headache. Girls were giggling in the hallways, handing out chocolates, and Oikawa—God, Oikawa—was being insufferable, basking in his pile of gifts like some overdramatic king.
Kunimi just wanted to go home and nap.
You knew he wasn’t the type to make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day. If anything, he’d probably sleep through it if given the chance. But that didn’t mean you couldn’t make a big deal out of it for him.
You found him exactly where you expected—half-asleep on a bench outside the gym, hoodie pulled over his head, avoiding the chaos of girls handing out chocolates to their favorite players.
“Kunimi.”
He cracked one eye open, already sighing. “What?”
You held out a small box of chocolates. Nothing fancy, but still something. “For you.”
He blinked, sitting up slightly. “…You’re giving me Valentine’s chocolate?”
You raised an eyebrow. “That a problem?”
Kunimi stared at the box for a second before taking it with a lazy shrug. “Didn’t think you’d bother.”
You scoffed, plopping down next to him. “Yeah, well, you are my boyfriend.”
He made a noise that was almost a laugh. “Sounds about right.”
There was a beat of silence. Then, without looking at you, Kunimi reached into his hoodie pocket and pulled out a small bag. He tossed it into your lap, like it was no big deal. “Didn’t wanna deal with you pouting about it later.”
