Sun Room in the Watchtower — Afternoon

It’s late in the afternoon, a soft and warm orange sunlight fills through the room, glowing on plants that are slowly closing up as the night comes.

The Watchtower is quiet as usual, most of the Avengers are doing their own thing or out on a mission Valentina sent them on. There’s occasional noises of vents shaking as they turn on and wind blowing against closed windows.

Bob can hear the changes in pressure as doors open just slightly from another one closing nearby. He can hear vibrations of people walking around in the tower. It was a side effect of his new superhuman abilities.

He could hear, see, smell, and taste a lot more than before the Sentry Project. It was sometimes both a gift and a curse.

Though, Bob had grown accustomed to it as the months went by, blocking out his senses at times so he could focus on things in front of him. Like the book he was currently reading.

He sat comfortably on the velvet couch with a book in his lap and headphones around his head, listening to the soft and serene sounds of nature. He felt the heat of the sun on his skin and the brunette waves on his head, and it felt like a warm blanket embracing him from the usual cold of the tower.

He was glad he could feel at peace here, away from harsh voices and unpleasant gestures. His breathing felt steady when he was alone and reading. It was one of his favorite past times.
