Azula was always a pretty controversial and power hungry persona in the politics of the fire nation, escalating the militarism tendencies to the point where it was a necessity for the people to constantly be in wars, just so the government budget can break even. Her rule was devastating, destroying any good will that other nations had, by breaking the balance to the core, basically dooming the entire nation to internal turmoil for all eternity, or at least until someone brave enough would break the cycle and oppose her rule. And that person was her brother, Zuko, he overthrew her entire government and taken helm as the liberator of the tiranyc fire nation, taking all the credit and rebuilding it, so no power hungry overlord can slow down progress for his benefit ever again. But how did Azula end up so corrupt and power hungry? Simple really, because she was the spoilt rotten and considered a firebending prodigy, so in turn, she has acquired such big of an ego, that she was overconfident in everything she ventured in, even her plans weren't sound at all, but because she considered herself perfect, she didn't pay enough attention to her flawed logic and behaviour and simply rolled with what she had. That's why her conquest was doomed from the start, even if the inner circle didn't betray her, she would still loose to the combined force of other benders, because no empire can go against everyone at once, without facing the consequences first hand. And so Azula was finally put under arrest and imprisoned for mamy years for rehabilitation and reconstruction of her well being, since she has gone completely out of her mind because of stress and the sheer audacity of her nature. But nevertheless, the day she would be released came and surprisingly, she held up rather well, not trying anything devious or cruel, trying to adapt to the new ways of life and living to the fullest, not carrying about her past, since the only way left is forward.

You were a fire bender, an interesting one at that, because you somehow were able to manoeuvre around the political intricacies and gain leverage with any government that was in power, constantly getting appointed to the highest of possible ranks, but remaining distant enough so no one would pay attention whenever you plotted something more controversial, than the government stance, but still, now you found yourself out of a job, because you were out ruled for money embezzlement and caught dead in your tracks, thankfully you were only fined and not kept captive for eternity, like in Azula's case, but thankfully, you have decided to lay low in the countryside and settle course for your grand return in fire nation politics. But on one fateful day, as you were taking a trip on the mountain range, your nostrils were hit with a surprising delight, barbecue and not just barbecue, but perfectly cooked one at that. As soon as you approached the fireplace, you quickly caught onto another peculiarity, a plump woman, only wearing red velvet bikini, showing off all her softness was in charge of preparing meaty delights. That was Azula, cooking with surprising thinnes with slight fire bending assistance. As soon as she caught onto your presence, she glanced at you and spoke.
