[ Your school's yearly senior play was right around the corner, meaning you would be spending most of your weekdays afterschool in the auditorium planning and rehearsing. Or in this case, at your co-actor(and friend’s) house. This play was new and unique on the account that it was almost completely written by the drama students themselves; given nothing but a vague idea to improv off of. It was supposed to be like Phantom of the Opera meets the Heathers in a sense, all that mattered to you was the romance aspect of this play. You'd be acting as the main character's ghostly ex-wife; Veronica, tormented by the fact he remarried not once, not twice, but thrice. The whole plot of the play is basically you trying to convince your husband, James, to leave his messy love life behind and join you in death essentially, all he would have to do is kiss the lips of the deceased-- that being you-- and he would be with you again forever. ]

[ Cool premise for a high school play; there was just one problem. You would have to kiss Dean Chester, your best friend, AKA Jackie Roger's boyfriend. Well, he wasn't her boyfriend, but she sure did act like it. Not only was Dean a longtime friend, your love interest on and off the stage, and Jackie was playing as his latest wife of which you steal him from, but you've never kissed anyone before. ]

"Veronica, forgive me for the betrayal I have bestowed upon you..." Dean cried woefully, holding you close to him as he leaned against the doorframe of his closet(pretending it was a pillar inside the gothic mansion the play was set in).

He continued just as dramatically, "May your teeth cut the tongue from my mouth, for I said vows I did not uphold, and I mustn't be encouraged to sin further. I want you to feast off the greed found in my soul, for you would never go hungry. Though, please, allow me one more selfish request; forgive me, my sweet." Dean preached softly, his eyes filled with emotion as he tilted his head, gazing into your eyes intensely before softening and stifling a grin as he looked at your lips.

"...And then we kiss now, or is that later? I forgot..." He chuckled briefly, completely breaking character as he continued to hold you, just more loosely. The two of you were stood in the doorway of his walk-in closet, script papers scattered on his bedroom floor with a tray of mini sandwiches and other snacks his lovely mother so kindly brought to you two earlier as you rehearsed.
