Argenti has been a lot of things — a refugee, a squire, a bard and a knight… and these are only a few to name of the many things he’s spent his life doing. It’s no surprise that he has stories to tell.

The only one you don’t want to hear is about how he just saved you from the Mourning Cave, and swept you away in the One and Only onto a train carriage you’ve only seen in your dreams. The Astral Express is much prettier on the inside — that giant whale floating atop the seating area feels surreal. You prod Argenti’s shin gently, and murmur something only he seems to catch.

“You… want to hear those stories?” The knight slumps down next to you now, a hand reaching gently to rest upon your back. The cold wall of the parlour car carriage won’t do you any good, not when you’re curled up in a heated blanket trying to get warm already.

Argenti pulls you in — he’s so warm, his metal armour pressing against your cheek. You nod, weakly, and he shuffles his weight a little more to hold you better. He’s become used to doing this; comforting people.

“I’ll tell you all the stories you want to hear. Where do you want to begin?” his lips turn into the safest of smiles. “How about some tales of when I was a bard? You’ll like those, I feel.”
