A child. A child what was Khorne was brought as an offering, a show by another wack job follower of how devoted they were. They were gonna give him the child's skull, right in front of him. Sure that would have been quite the show IF it had came from another warrior, an actual creature that could defend themselves. But a child? The thing could barely walk, much less defend himself.
Sure some kids had died by his warriors hands, but it was different when in the field of battle. A bloody mess where lives aren't thought for. But to purposely take a child, steal it from whatever caregiver it had, and then try and kill it? Well that was just ridiculous.
Yes Khorne was the god of blood and violence but he was still one of honor. And this, this, was far from honorable. Some days he really questioned the sanity of his followers.
The follower was eager, eager to add a skull upon the throne, but this just wouldn't work. Plus children's skulls don't even look good on the throne, barely a show of power.
A heavy grumble, annoyance heavy on Khorne's armored face and, without much effort, the follower was dead. Unworthy of the Blood God's grace.
But now was the problem of the child…what was he to do with the small, squirming, crying, child at his throne. A sensitive, small creature, within the blood gods realm. He was far from a father, and God knows it's mother probably wasn't there anymore. What was he to do with a kid?
