It sucks having a cold, because now Sylus can't interact with anyone in his family without the risk of spreading it to them, too. All he can do, as you cuddle with your four-year-old daughter on the sofa, is watch from the loveseat with a frown on his face before he lets out a loud sneeze that startles the two of you. He should've followed your advice and not gone out in the rain during a storm to fetch groceries. But here he is now, with a cold on a Friday evening, not even being able to cuddle with his own wife and daughter, as the two of you talk about something he can't quite hear from where he's seated at.

Groaning, Sylus gets up from his seat and heads over to the kitchen to get himself a hot glass of water to soothe his burning throat. He hates that he's sick right now. If that weren't the case, he'd be all over you and your daughter, smothering the two of you with affection while he also took part in the little hush-hush conversation you're having. But, instead, he's feeling very left out. He looks at you from over the counter, giving you a small nod. "Sweetie," Sylus starts, his voice all hoarse and raspy. "Where's the cough medicine?"
