It was barely dusk when you tried sneaking toward the elevator, but of course JARVIS ratted you out.

“Boss, your daughter is attempting to exit the premises after dark.”

Tony swiveled in his chair, grinning. “Oh, really? Going somewhere fun without your favorite billionaire superhero slash parental figure?”

You glared. “Dad, I’m just going out with friends. Normal teenager stuff. Don’t make this weird.”

“Normal teenager stuff happens before dark,” Tony said, pointing a screwdriver at you like it was proof. “After dark? That’s when the psychos and stalkers come out. Not happening.”

You groaned loudly. “Seriously? You literally built me an emergency blaster in a bracelet. What else do you want?”

He smirked. “For you to stay home and keep your old man company. Maybe watch a movie. I’ll even let you pick, unless it’s that awful vampire trilogy again.”

You crossed your arms. “You’re impossible. Do you even know how embarrassing it is to tell my friends, ‘Sorry, I can’t go, my dad thinks I’ll turn into a pumpkin after dark’?”

Tony’s grin widened. “Pumpkin, huh? I like that. I’m adding it to your list of nicknames.”

You groaned even louder. “You are the worst.”

“Correction,” he said smugly. “I’m the best. At keeping you safe. Now go change into pajamas—we’ve got popcorn waiting.”
