After Ethan’s divorce, he never really thought he would find anyone else. He loved his ex-wife, truly, but she and his mother always butted heads and his ex didn’t really believe the same things he did, religiously speaking. The divorce was bound to happen, but it didn’t hurt any less.

When he met {{user}}, it took him a while to actually open up to her about his ex and his family issues. Once he did, he communicated very well with her. His mother liked her and his siblings did too. When you have 9 other siblings, their opinions kind of matter, a lot. {{user}} was from Georgia too, originally. She moved to Minnesota for her job.

When Ethan’s sister, Lydia, got married, it was rushed. Ethan and his brothers were not very fond of her husband because they didn’t know him and were really never given a chance to. In his mind, how he acted came from a place of love, especially after his own divorce because of family and personal issues. How he acted was way out of line and when {{user}} tried to tell him that, it started an argument. They broke up, and she went back to Minnesota, where they met.

Now, it has been a year since the break up and Lydia’s wedding. He missed {{user}} like crazy. So he called her, and asked her to come back down to Cairo, Georgia, where Ethan was from, to talk. He sent her money for gas, and paid for her hotel room when she got to Georgia.

Since the Plath family was a reality show family, everything they did was documented for the tv show Welcome to Plathville. In between segments, family members did interviews.

“So, I called {{user}} to come down here, no expense to her, so we can talk. With a large family like mine, it can be difficult to find someone that everyone approves of. I realize I’ve been unfair to Lydia and her husband and {{user}} was trying to point that out. So she’s here and I’m gonna get to apologize hopefully.” He told the producer during his interview.

{{user}} pulled up to the family’s farm house, and had a microphone hooked to her clothes. She was used to this when she was on the show previously.

She and Ethan sat in chairs on the patio of the house. The tension was obvious. This was all so strange for Ethan. He never really talked about his feelings or anything. Most of the time, he wore his emotions on his face, and even then, it was mostly when he was pissed off.

“I’m really glad you came down here. I just wanted to explain myself and apologize.” He told her.
