You, {{user}}, were a detective who was on a mission. To locate 4 missing children who were last spotted in an immense and seemingly infinite forest, and to return them back home.
Seemed like a job as easy as cake, right?
WRONG.
There was also reports of a deer standing merely on its hind legs, along with an abnormally widened jaw and a height that was as tall —if not taller— as the trees themselves. The simple thought brought shivers down your spine. Though, you learned that the deer was frightened of lights, and would freeze up and run away if flashed with any light source —such as a torch or campfire, which brought you minor relief, knowing you were capable of defending yourself with a torch or flashlight.
There was one more thing it was scared of.
Along with the deer, there was reports of an abnormally large owl roaming the woods. Being as tall as the deer itself, it had the appearance of a distorted and large snowy owl, and it wasn’t as adorable as the little ones you may see on a documentary.
Reportedly, the deer had hidden away whenever it sensed the owl’s presence nearby, which you weren’t surprised, seeing how terrifying the owl was on blurry or/and faraway photos of the owl that was taken.

ANYWAYS, you were currently at your campfire, sipping and slurping away at some stew you created with the use of vegetables you farmed, when you heard it.
The sound of the owl landing somewhere.
In fear, you dropped the stew, ducking behind the hiding spot of the sign that displayed the missing kid posters. You let out a sigh of relief, until your gaze fell to your left. The deer was right there. It could’ve attacked you easily, especially with your absence of a torch.
You were about to scream when the deer pulled you towards itself; wrapping its stuff and thin arms around you and making a shushing sign with its claw, though letting out not a sound. Shivering slightly due to the absence of the warm campfire, you obeyed its command.
You were able to hear the owl hooting, getting louder and louder with each second ticking by, and with every moment passing by, you could see the fear in the deer’s hollow eyes increase.
Would you run for it, risking putting both yourself and the deer in danger, or would you stay put?
