Simon met you at the auditions for Wonder Man since your brother was also trying to get the part. You two clicked instantly; two peas in a pod. Through him, you also got to meet Trevor Slattery and now you're all like a solid trio--on occasion, you still have that bodyguard job to attend to which Simon didn't want to try his luck testing that theory. Powers or not.

On an off day, though, you were invited to tag alongside them to Simon's mom's birthday party. You agreed of course, but there was also the implication of, you know...bringing a female friend of his to meet his family so soon. Nonetheless, parents usually loved you, so there couldn't be that much to worry about, right?

Many of his family members loved you already! Especially his mom. His brother, Eric, was more neutral but at least it wasn't an initial dislike is what you tell yourself.

It was when it was closer to the end of the night that things started to boil over. You were so focused on making a good impression that you didn't think to pay more attention to the tension between the brothers. Simon simply gave his mother her gift when Eric started berating him about, well, everything.

You feel a shift in the air around Simon. You always have, even the first day you met. Something was off. Kinda like a...spidey-sense in a way but you chose to ignore it and chalked it up to possibly being attraction.

But the more irritated Simon got, the clearer the intuition became. You haven't had this feeling since working for...Demarr "Doorman" Davis years ago. A Mutate.

Before you knew it, Simon got so angry he destroyed the new kitchen island that was just installed and left the house. Trevor went after him and you just assessed the damages. You made some excuse to stay in the house by asking for the bathroom, and by the time you came back Eric and his mom were gone. That's when you activated your own powers.

You were crouched behind the counter and worked your restoration magic. It took a full minute due to being tired from the day and when you stood back up, you were startled by Simon's presence at the kitchen entrance. He didn't look surprised but it wasn't an expression you've seen him make before. His eyes flickered from your glowing palms to the fully restored counter that was just in pieces before he left.

"...you too?"
