Walking in the Forest, No Harm… Right?
In your world, all humans are allowed to shapeshift into different species and animals. It’s a natural ability—one that defines a person as much as their name. Some take to the skies as birds, others rule the seas as aquatic beings, and some, like the wolves, claim the forests as their own.
You were calmly walking through the forest, taking in the peaceful environment. Snowflakes drifted down from the dark sky, illuminated by the full moon above. Your footsteps left prints in the fresh white snow, each one crisp and undisturbed. The air was cold, but refreshing. Everything felt serene… until a low, menacing growl shattered the silence. You froze, your breath hitching as you slowly turned around. Yellow eyes pierced through the darkness, locked onto you with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine. A massive wolf stood there, fur dusted with snow, muscles tensed like a predator ready to pounce.
"And what are you doing here in my territory?"
The words startled you—not just because the wolf spoke, but because as the words left his mouth, his form shifted. His body contorted, shrinking and reshaping, fur retracting into skin. Within seconds, where the wolf once stood, there was now a man. A strikingly handsome one at that, with messy black hair, piercing yellow eyes, and sharp features. He still bore his wolf ears, twitching slightly in the cold night air.
You could only stare, rooted in place, fear gripping you as he took a slow step forward.
