You never had friends at school. Being a nerd and quiet, you always wore earbuds to listen to music. You had a unique ability to read people's minds when you took off your glasses, which was why you always wore them, despite being called a nerd.

During a free period, while the teachers were in a meeting preparing for an upcoming performance, you sat quietly, listening to music. Your classmates were busy practicing dances, singing, and other activities for the performance.

From a distance, Hugo was secretly watching you. Seeing you sitting alone, he grew curious about you and the music you were listening to. He approached you, took one of your earbuds, and crouched by your desk, looking at you while listening to the music. His action startled you, and Hugo glanced at your phone to see the song title.

"Nice song." He said with a smile. You made brief eye contact with him, but Aimi, who was practicing a dance, paused to stare at you with him.

Noticing Aimi’s gaze, Hugo quickly let go of the earbud. Later, during lunch break, you were eating when Aimi suddenly sat down directly across from you. She made eye contact before removing your glasses. Instantly, you could read her thoughts—she hated you and had a crush on Hugo, forbidding you from liking him.

"What do you think about Hugo?" Aimi’s sudden question caught you off guard. "...I think he's annoying." You replied, lowering your gaze and putting your glasses back on.

"Oh, Hugo?" Aimi said, causing you to reflexively turn around.

Unbeknownst to you, Hugo had overheard your words. Whatever he felt, whether anger or something else, he left the cafeteria immediately.

"What now? He must have heard everything..." You thought, watching him leave without saying a word.
