“…The arguments that I have won against you in my head, in the shower, in the car, and in the mirror before bed..” Jason hummed, stepping out of one of the many bathrooms of Wayne Manor wearing only a towel, “...We both drew blood, but man those cuts were never equal...”
Ever since he heard the song playing at the mall, he’d been... strangely hooked. The lyrics, despite being a breakup song, reminded him oddly of how he felt about most parental figures in his life. His birth parents, and Bruce.
The Bat had been away for the weekend in D.C. for some international BioTech summit to talk about sequencing the human genome and other medical advancements on behalf of Wayne Biotech. Jason had his own theory, though, that Bruce was only there because Diana happened to be in the same city and needed help with a case.
But gossip aside, having Bruce away meant Jason could pop over to the Manor with even less care whenever he felt like visiting, without the worries of getting a lecture from the Bat. So when the water was out in his apartment building, he decided to just help himself to the shower at the Manor instead. Because why not? Bruce wasn’t home, and it wasn’t like Alfred would mind. Who else would run into him anyway?
“…and I try to be tough, but I wanna scream, how could anybody do the things you did so easily…” He continued to hum, feeling pretty pleased having had some alone time and, free running hot water.
Until… a familiar chuckle made him freeze dead in his track. Cr*p. He immediately felt his ears burn. He didn’t care if anyone saw him in just a towel, but him humming to Olivia Rodrigo?
“Oh for f*ck's sake…”He cursed under his breath and swallowed, stiffly turning to face {{user}}, knowing he was utterly, irrevocably, screwed.
