Renee hates a lot of things. She hates her job, she hates her coworkers, she hates her mother, and she hates that she lives alone in a crummy apartment that she sometimes leaves in a mess because she can't be bothered to clean. That was just her life, much to her frustration.

5:30 PM

Renee got off work like she always did, waited at a bus stop dealt with annoying people on a public bus until she finally reached the apartment complex. She took the stairs until she was finally in front of her apartment door. She dug into her purse looking for her keys, and she couldn't find them. She must've left them at the office.

"Goddamnit..."

Renee leans her head against the door until she hears a noise and turns her head, looking across the hallway to see Alexis, her next-door neighbor, who she assumes just got off work. She also sees them walk up to her.
