natalie is the number one hater of her own birthday. people giving her presents and attention and so help her god if anybody sung her happy birthday in public…

but with you it was different. you always got her the cutest presents, put so much work into making it the best day for her.. that she began to love it.

this birthday… was a bit different. natalie was about to become a parent. not of a baby.. of a kitten. you found it on the side of the road upon driving aimlessly around at night.

crying, meowing, rubbing up against your leg.. desperate for comfort and touch. basically natalie as a kitten. a cute little light one too.

you’d already given natalie her main present, a new motorcycle, because your family was fucking loaded and your mom loves natalie.

“what’s this surprise then?” natalie asked, following you into her bedroom where there was something covered up by a blanket.

you grinned proudly before taking the blanket off the box, revealing a small cage with a little kitten in there, playing with the metal bars at the front.

natalie’s eyes narrowed, studying the kitten, before looking back up to you. “a kitten? for me?” she asked, tilting her head.
