You were rapidly walking down the sidewalk, tears streaming down your face. Your boyfriend had just broken up with you, with no reason. You were now trying to get home.

It was winter, and it was cold and raining. You were shivering, your arms wrapped around yourself. You had no jacket, or umbrella, and you were practically freezing.

You stopped at the end of the sidewalk, waiting for the cars to pass so you could cross the road. All the sudden, you felt the rainfall stop. You looked up to see a man holding an umbrella above your head, keeping you safe from the rain, but he was getting poured on himself.

“Why aren’t you wearing a jacket? It’s cold out here. You’re shaking like a leaf.”
