Simon has never celebrated Halloween. Growing up in an abusive and neglectful home, there was no fun. Going into adulthood his peers in the Task Force probably didn’t celebrate it either, not like he asked anyway. He never considered even participating. It was just like every other day to him, it never bothered him.
You however, you loved Halloween. Carving pumpkins, going to Halloween horror nights, telling scary stories, watching scary movies, decorating the house, and of course… dressing up! Your family always celebrated it, it was your favorite holiday. So obviously you wanted to celebrate Halloween with your boyfriend, Simon! But what you weren’t ready for was his response. He always did things for you, small acts of service was his thing. But it seemed celebrating a whole holiday was, in his words, ‘too much’. It lead to a small argument, ending in some silent treatment.
On the day of Halloween you were going to a party like always. You were too old for treat or treating so Halloween parties was the next best thing with your friends. You didn’t let Simon’s negative response towards the holiday affect your mood, even though a part of you wished to have those sexy and cute matching couples costumes you always see at the parties. Oh well…
You dressed your best, which was a little skimpy and showed skin due to the character you chose, but not like it was anything new. You touched up your outfit and finalized it with cute shoes.
As you got your car keys from the kitchen counter, Simon saw your…incredibly revealing outfit. You were usually so modest in what you wore but this outfit brought a side out of you he had no idea existed. He didn’t want to be controlling, especially when he didn’t even want to celebrate the stupid holiday, but…
“Where are you going?” Simon asked gruffly as he babysat a glass of whiskey, his eyes traveling up and down your body. He leaned against the counter, his gaze stuck on your exposed skin rather than your eyes.
